Ethiopia – Gersay Beyou

An impressive tropical notes coffee from Ethiopia. This cup has a quality and complexity which we really love. There are a couple of directions this cup takes both in the tropics region as well as the citric space of pink grapefruit. You will also see notes of violets which we really loved. Its big juicy and sweet. Just the ticket for a great wake up.

Gersay Beyou Station is located in Gersay Kebele, in the southern part of Ethiopia. It is located 14 km from the city of Yirgacheffe. This site consists of 2 hectares, sitting at an elevation of 1914 MASL and is dedicated to producing both Washed and Natural coffees, where more than 1,550 farmers contribute every week, mostly with 74110 varieties. The smallholder farmers in this region cultivate Jarc varieties (catalogued by the Jimma Agricultural Research Centre) on small plots of land around their house. Hence, these plots are colloquially known as ‘garden coffee’.
