This Gibirinna 74110 varietal developed in 1974 has intensely sweet and floral aromatics to the nose followed by clean transparent flavours of strawberry jam, red berries and prunes. Juicy weight and a smooth round texture. The medium sweet tartaric acidity supports the high intensity sweetness even at cool temperature.
Gediyo is located in the South Ethiopia Regional State, an enclave bordered by the Oromia and Sidama regions. Coffee in this region thrives at high elevations, typically between 1,700 and 2,200 meters above sea level, with some areas reaching over 2,900 meters. The unique climate and fertile red-brown soil contribute to the coffee’s unique quality.
