Nicaragua – Los Pedernales

Comforting is the key word here. Syrupy body, rich and complex in flavours, from liquorice notes up front and tropical notes like mango at mid range temperatures, which turn to sweet berry like fruit, almost like candy when cool.

Los Encuentros is a small farm owned by Diédericks Gadea, nestled in the mountains of Northern Nicaragua, 80 Km north of the City of Jinotega. At 1230 masl they produce a gorgeous red catuai varietal which is hand picked and naturally processed.
