Ethiopia – Konga Supernatural
Sweet vanilla aromas predisposing you to a super sweet cup. Tropical fruits like pineapple and ripe mangos and papaya are part of the flavour profile. Syrupy body when hot and turning juicy as it cools. Berries make an appearance when cool giving a long lingering aftertaste.
Situated in the Kebele area of Yirgacheffe at 2100 masl and grown by smallholders who own farms of less than a hectare, almost as a back yard love affair with coffee. Heirloom beans are sorted to get rid of any unripe or overripe intruders. The coffee cherries are stacked in thick piles to increase fermentation temperatures and ensure super sweet flavour. Shade dried for maximum control of the fermentation.
