It is a star in the competition scene, Chiroso stands out with its desirable sensory attributes and cup quality.

We love a great Kenyan coffee but what happens when that same varietal hits tropical climates? This is definitely a landmark coffee experience. High intensity aromas of berries, vanilla and red grapes. The flavour is complex and full fruits. A medium intensity bright acidity is the backbone to support the sweetness this natural processed SL28 varietal has to offer. Lollypop sweetness finish and sticky mouthfeel.

Quebraditas is a very ambitious project started by Edison Argote and his partner in life and farm Angela. Their objective is to revitalize they farm which has been experiencing slow growth for quite a number of years. The farm is nestled in the mountains of Oporapa, Huila,. At altitudes reaching 1850 masl, this 18-hectare estate is committed to growing traditional and experimental coffee varieties with an eye toward sustainability and sensory excellence. Their approach includes organic inputs, strategic canopy shading, and soil health management designed to optimize plant vitality and bean quality.

This striking varietal has its roots in Ecuador. Its a hybrid result which has a very rich intense transparent character. The washed process brings out the intense brightness in the coffee enhancing the clean perfume like flowers in aroma along with a tropical stone fruit sweetness. The body is silky and delicate. Complexity is evident throughout the cup from hot to cold. The finish stays long with you like a spoon of very delicate floral honey.

This Gibirinna 74110 varietal developed in 1974 has intensely sweet and floral aromatics to the nose followed by clean transparent flavours of strawberry jam, red berries and prunes. Juicy weight and a smooth round texture. The medium sweet tartaric acidity supports the high intensity sweetness even at cool temperature.

Gediyo is located in the South Ethiopia Regional State, an enclave bordered by the Oromia and Sidama regions. Coffee in this region thrives at high elevations, typically between 1,700 and 2,200 meters above sea level, with some areas reaching over 2,900 meters. The unique climate and fertile red-brown soil contribute to the coffee's unique quality.

This is an example from Costa Rica we really love. An amazing sweet and full bodied espresso or a comforting filter brew. Take your pick of method

Located about a two-hour drive south of San José, Tarrazú is Costa Rica’s coffee old mine. Its mountainous terrain, lush vegetation, and well-defined seasons create ideal conditions for coffee cultivation. Coffee plantations here thrive at elevations above 1,500 meters, allowing the cherries to mature slowly and fully develop their flavors. While the average farm size is around 3 hectares, many coffee producers rely on external washing stations and deliver their ripe cherries to a Beneficio a wet mill in Costa Rica.

Rwanda is back strong. Its not so often we get natural processed coffees from this region butt this one is a real treat. This natural Red Bourbon is super clean and crisp with an intense aroma of ripe fresh strawberries, red cherries and hints of tropical fruit. Its super juicy and round with a balanced sweetness of vanilla syrup and hints of white chocolate. Its has a long after taste which tingles with your taste buds like a crisp fresh white wine. Definitely try it over ice.

The station is surrounded by steep, fertile hills densely planted with Red Bourbon coffee trees, a variety that thrives in the region’s relatively cool climate. Coffee farming here is deeply rooted in local culture, with around 600 smallholder farmers supplying cherries each season. After pulping and fermentation, parchment coffee is dried on raised African beds for approximately 15–22 days, allowing for careful moisture management before dry milling. The cool climate in this region facilitates controlled fermentation and slow, even drying—key factors in developing complex cup profiles.

Expect notes of: Strawberries, White chocolate, red cherry liquor, Mango
